How do you “Be?”

Hello Soul Journeyers, and welcome to the first post of Be & Beyond.

The intention of this blog is to give insight on the essence of what Hona Om is built upon and to illuminate what it is that we see when we go into the depths so that we may be here as what we are, what we have always been, what we will always be...Love.

It is my own colorful soul journey of plummeting into the depths of darkness and hauling myself back to the light that has allowed me to witnessing unreconciled shadows that kept me in an endless loop of suffering. Each round got me closer to me, access to more joy and unveiled a life of purpose. I have been observing, taking notes, and deconstructing the patterns of my mind and body to reveal something my former self could never have fathomed - Just how simple it is to Be.

Notice I said “Simple,” not easy, for this journey of living in an awake state requires continuous awaken-ing. It’s not like we arrive to a state of consciousness and decide its done.

I have asked myself the question and contemplated on “What it is to be. What is be-ing?” Without pushing or pulling, wanting or needing, what does it feel like to be?

It has been cleaning process, washing away ideals that were projected onto me, the characters I played to survive, to fit in, to be something other than what I was, never feeling quite right, swimming in a sea of confusion, seeking and finding nothing to hold onto.

From thousands of hours of self-study, death after death, this very colorful spiritual journey has evolved rapidly for over a decade by realizing I could play life like a game. When I was deep in it, going through seasons of tearing away from the pain cycles so deeply imbedded in my psyche, in my cells, I diligently rewrote the story of who I am, what I desired, and what I was worth.

I watched closely, collected data points of the monkey mind, how the mind affects the body (behavior and emotions), how behavior affects others, and have been using this data to arrive to the simple truth that all I needed was to not need, to stop trying, be still, and all that was left was to Be.

And what does that feel like? Well, it feels like nothing.

To sit in nothing for the even a smallest length of time and ahhhhh, I dissolve into such a slow pulse, I can barely feel it. The body disappears, any notion of the self vanishes, and i’m floating with the pulse of the entire universe.

Peace.

When we are not in a state of peace, we are in a state of fear. This very simple understanding is a pillar for transformation and growth. If we see the fear. We can dissolve it.

I’ve been guided to learn and share energy efficient, practical, and accessible approaches to clearing blocked energy channels, rewiring neuro pathways, and creating new ones through unexpected, unconventional, and powerful teachings. My soul sought answers while I kept crashing and burning. It took me decades to find a teacher, so life taught me. At a certain point, others came to heal their patterns of suffering and learn what it is that I have been gifted to learn.

Most of us cannot escape experiencing at one point or another, anxiety, reactivity, confusion, lack of sleep, challenges in relationships, lackluster, pointless jobs, depression…the list goes on of how many ways we can hit rock bottom. From the countless bottoms I’ve hit, comfort has come from realizing the hard surface we bounce off of, reveals the equal and opposite state of joy, growth, light is also possible, if not more.

What if we hit that bottom, choose to fully be with it, and go with the bounce? Something beautiful is on the other side. That bounce is actually the nectar that if we learn to enjoy, we may launch more gracefully, more easefully into another state…of being.

It’s a game - of embracing The Great Unknown.

The most effective tool we have is something we all have access to and is the most essential function for life, Breath. If we can breathe, we can heal, master ourselves, expand, and live the best life never imagined.

Magic exists in every now.

Let’s take a breath together, in whatever version of now you are in.

With eyes closed, feeling the rise and fall of the belly -

Inhale slowly through the nose 4 four counts.

Exhale slowly through the nose for 4 counts.

Repeat 3 times.

When you open your eyes, tune into how you feel after the 3 breaths and open yourself to imagining what could happen if you learned to play with this fascinating tool. Life is no longer something that happens to you. It becomes something that happens As You. We can learn to Be with each moment and watch the cosmic play unfold.

So here it is, the first shot at what Hona Om is founded on: Death being the start of new life with infinite possibility.
