Hona Om |Who we are

Hona Om is a sanctuary to return to yourself. Come as you are, to honor the rhythm of Nature and cycles of the cosmos. The path of remembrance is amplified by each of us.

Here, healing is a journey of reconnection. As we reconnect with our true essence, ou innate gifts naturally awaken. We learn to relate with ourselves and others in a healthy way, from wholeness and truth. Life shifts from survival to play, from seeking to co-creating, from effort to flow.

Rooted in ancient wisdom and lived experience, we weave practical with mystical — somatics, energy work, ancestral remembering, and sacred joy. We explore darkness and light, mind and heart, stillness and celebration.

This space invites you to gather, sing the inner heart song, and return to the intelligence of the heart. Your path is uniquely yours, yet we walk together, cultivating community, worthiness, openness, and wonder in all.

Come home to love. Reconvene with the Self. Life is filled with infinite exploration.

Together We Rise.

Student, Teacher, Medicine Woman

Hello!

I am Akasha, born Brenda Wong, from Chinese parents who grew up in Myanmar, formerly Burma. I come from generations of medicine men and women who crossed lands through war and displacement.

Life is my greatest teacher. Through loss, illness, ancestral wounds, and deep transformation, I’ve discovered healing, growth, and co-creating as a devotional path. Unraveling lifetimes of conditioning has revealed the subtle realms of energy alchemy and sensuality, and connecting to Source, Mother Nature.

In 2015, a vision and chronic illness made the choice clear: leave this body and begin again — or stay and change everything. I chose to heal, listen, and change so I could live.

Debilitating low self-esteem, instability, chronic illness, and overwhelm evolved into joyful purpose, fulfillment, connection, and cosmic play.

I am a student of the Himalayan Yog-Vedantic tradition and Jyotish Vedic Astrology, weaving life’s teachings with the rich, ancient yogic teachings and technologies. My focus is creating space for transitions, self-reflection, accessing and refining sensitivity, and discovery of a joyous life lived with song, dance, laughter, purpose and infinite possibility.

I currently reside in the mountain of Chirripó, Costa Rica, surrounded by nature, and reminded each day of the abundant heart. I am fascinated by the human experience, and love studying, growing medicinal plants and food, spending time the forest, singing, playing instruments, writing, and being with community.

The Dharmic path continues to unfold as playful ceremony. I am ever-grateful and humbled.

From my heart to yours.
